Progressive web app

A progressive web app (PWA) is a website built to behave like a native app (installable, able to work offline, and usable on any device) without going through an app store.

En contexte

PWAs use modern web capabilities such as service workers and local storage to load instantly, run offline, and be added to a phone's home screen. For workforce tools this removes a major barrier: staff do not need to find, download, and update an app from a store, which is especially valuable for temporary or rotating workers who would otherwise abandon the install. A PWA can be opened straight from a scanned QR code.

Relation avec BriefQR

BriefQR is a progressive web app, so operators scan a QR and clock in straight from the browser (no app store, no install friction) and it still works offline.
